Round 3 & 4

The British GT Championship returns to Oulton Park International Circuit for Rounds 3 & 4 of the 2025 season. This event features two one-hour sprint races on the same day, offering competitors double points opportunities. Oulton Park International Circuit

Notable Circuit Features

Old Hall opens the lap with a fast right-hander that often produces close racing. Cascades drops downhill through a series of quick direction changes. Knickerbrook sits at the bottom of a steep descent, testing braking stability. Island Bend leads into a technical middle section, while Shell Oils Corner and Britten's chicane complete the lap. The circuit offers three different layouts: the International Circuit, the Island Circuit, and the Fosters Circuit.

Grandstands are positioned at Old Hall, Knickerbrook, and Lodge corners. A picnic area overlooks Cascades with sight lines extending to Knickerbrook and Clay Hill. The Oulton Estate once occupied this land, with Oulton Hall serving as the Egerton family's ancestral home until fire destroyed it in 1926. During World War II, the area functioned as an army staging camp where General Patton trained troops. The Mid-Cheshire Car Club developed the racing circuit, hosting its first meeting in 1953. The name "Oulton" derives from Old English words meaning owl settlement.

Racing Heritage

The Oulton Park Gold Cup became a major event that attracted Formula One teams and drivers. Stirling Moss claimed victory five times in this prestigious race. The circuit earned a reputation as one of Britain's toughest tests, a status it maintains today. Round 3 & 4 Race Weekend

The two-race format creates unique strategic considerations for teams. Qualifying sessions determine grid positions for both races.
