ℹ️ About Jeddah ePrix II
The Jeddah ePrix II formula-e race takes place on the Jeddah Street Circuit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This circuit is a modified and shorter version of the Formula 1 track, featuring four new chicanes designed to enhance energy recuperation for the GEN3 Evo cars. The 3.001 km anti-clockwise layout includes parts of the original F1 track and runs along the Red Sea coastline. This event marks the debut of the GEN3 Evo cars, the fastest-accelerating FIA single-seaters. A new "Pit Boost" system will be implemented during the first race, where cars make a mandatory 30-second pit stop to receive a 10% energy increase. Teams will need to strategize when to use this boost for maximum impact.
The Jeddah ePrix II promises exciting action as 22 drivers from 11 teams and six manufacturers compete in Formula E's first night races in Jeddah. Notable drivers like António Félix da Costa, Oliver Rowland, and Mitch Evans will battle for victory on this tight street circuit. Rookie Zak O'Sullivan will also make his debut driving for the Nissan Formula E Team. Hosting Formula E aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, promoting global engagement and tourism. With its compact layout and tight bends, the Jeddah Street Circuit will challenge drivers, guaranteeing thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing under the lights.
