Racers tackle the 2.5-mile rectangular oval with its two long straightaways and four quarter-mile turns featuring 9°12' banking. The track, nicknamed the "Brickyard," maintains its historic 36-inch strip of original bricks at the start-finish line, connecting today's competitors with racing history dating back to 1909.

The 2025 Indianapolis I features a competitive field including Dennis Hauger, Lochie Hughes, Caio Collet, Myles Rowe, and Sophia Floersch. These drivers demonstrate their skills in cars weighing approximately 1,400 pounds that can reach speeds up to 200 mph. The Dallara IL-15 incorporates advanced safety features similar to IndyCar designs, including anti-intrusion panels and side-mounted radiators.
