ℹ️ About Brno

The Brno Moto2 race brings top motorcycle racing action to the famous Automotodrom Brno circuit in the Czech Republic. This popular race features the intermediate class of Grand Prix motorcycle racing, with riders competing on standardized 765cc Triumph three-cylinder engines across the challenging 5.403 km track. The Brno circuit offers fans an excellent racing experience with its natural layout that includes 14 corners and significant elevation changes of nearly 74 meters.

The Brno track tests riders with its mix of fast sections and technical corners. Riders face 6 left and 8 right turns, with speeds reaching over 270 km/h on the main straight. The circuit's width of 15 meters allows multiple racing lines and passing opportunities, making the Moto2 race at Brno particularly competitive.

Racing at Brno has a rich history dating back to 1930 with the original Masaryk Circuit. The modern Automotodrom Brno opened in 1987 and has hosted many memorable Grand Prix races. The circuit stopped hosting MotoGP races after 2020 but returns to the calendar with improved facilities and renewed interest.

Moto2 competition at Brno showcases talented riders from around the world. Teams like Red Bull KTM Ajo, Elf Marc VDS Racing, and Italtrans Racing field competitive motorcycles with custom chassis designs paired with the standard Triumph engine package. This unified engine formula puts focus on rider skill and chassis development, creating close racing throughout the field.

Fans attending the Brno Moto2 race can enjoy excellent viewing areas around the circuit, as the natural bowl design offers clear sightlines to multiple corners. The Czech crowd creates an energetic atmosphere for this important stop on the Moto2 calendar. The race often produces new talent heading to the premier MotoGP class, with many current MotoGP stars having claimed important victories at Brno during their Moto2 careers.

The Brno circuit remains one of few unchanged tracks since its modern introduction, preserving its original character while meeting current safety standards. This combination of history, technical challenge, and racing action makes the Brno Moto2 race a standout event for motorcycle racing fans.
