The FIM Moto2 World Championship Grand Prix of Qatar returns to the Lusail International Circuit in 2025. This prestigious Moto2 race takes place at one of the most distinctive venues on the racing calendar. The Losail International Circuit stretches 5.419 km with 16 turns (10 right, 6 left) and features a notable 1.068 km main straight that allows riders to reach peak speeds.

Lusail's circuit stands out with its advanced permanent lighting system that makes night racing possible. The track surface combines asphalt with artificial grass surroundings that prevent desert sand from affecting racing conditions. With little elevation change and a mix of medium to high-speed corners, the circuit creates an ideal setting for competitive Moto2 action.

The 2025 Moto2 grid brings together established talents and promising newcomers. Teams like MT Helmets-MSi, SpeedUp Racing, and Red Bull KTM Ajo field competitive rider lineups. Notable participants include Sergio García, Joe Roberts, and Filip Salač, alongside rookies such as David Alonso and Adrián Huertas who move up from smaller classes.

Opened in 2004, the Losail International Circuit has a rich history in motorcycle racing. The venue made history in 2008 as the first to host a night race in MotoGP. The facility offers modern amenities with 50 air-conditioned pit garages and a media center that accommodates 400 journalists. The circuit holds both FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A certifications, confirming its status as a world-class racing venue.

Technical elements of the Lusail circuit include special Mapecoat TNS Race Track coating on run-off areas and kerbs, providing excellent protection and slip resistance.
