ℹ️ About Circuit of the Americas

The Circuit of the Americas hosts one of the most anticipated Moto3 races on the motorcycle racing calendar. Located in Austin, Texas, this purpose-built track offers an ideal setting for the lightweight Moto3 class with its technical layout and challenging features. The 3.426-mile circuit includes 20 corners (11 left, 9 right) and a notable 133-foot elevation change, making it a test of skill for young Moto3 riders.

The Moto3 race at Circuit of the Americas runs for 14 laps on the full track configuration. Riders face significant challenges throughout the circuit, particularly at Turn 1, known as "Big Red" - a steep uphill climb leading into a tight left-handed corner. The track's combination of slow corners, fast direction changes, and a 1200-meter straight makes it demanding for the 250cc Moto3 machines.

Circuit of the Americas opened in 2012 and has hosted motorcycle racing since 2013. The track design draws inspiration from famous circuits worldwide, combining elements from Silverstone, Hockenheim, and Istanbul Park. This creates a unique racing experience for Moto3 competitors who must adapt to different track characteristics within a single lap.

The Moto3 field includes talented young riders from around the world, with teams like Red Bull KTM Tech3 featuring up-and-coming stars Jacob Roulstone and Valentin Perrone. These riders face the physical demands of COTA's layout, requiring precise braking at Turns 1, 11, and 12, while managing acceleration through the technical sections.

Fans attending the Moto3 race at Circuit of the Americas can enjoy views from many vantage points, including the 251-foot observation tower that provides a complete view of the racing action. The 120,000-capacity venue creates an electric atmosphere for this competitive class where future MotoGP stars develop their skills.

The Moto3 race at Circuit of the Americas showcases the perfect blend of rider talent, technical precision, and racing strategy. The event brings top-level motorcycle racing to American soil, giving fans a chance to see tomorrow's champions battle on one of the most modern circuits in motorsport.
