MotoGP - Buriram Official Testing

The Buriram Official Testing brings MotoGP action to the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. This pre-season test gives teams and riders valuable track time to prepare for the upcoming 2025 season. Riders test new bike developments, refine setups, and adapt to the specific conditions of the Thai circuit.

The Chang International Circuit presents unique challenges with its 4.554 km layout featuring 12 turns (7 right, 5 left) and a 1,000-meter straight. Designed by Hermann Tilke, this track holds both FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A certifications. The circuit can welcome 100,000 fans and has set impressive records, including a 340.6 km/h top speed achieved by Pedro Acosta.

Top MotoGP riders participate in this official test, including names like Fabio Quartararo, Álex Rins, Joan Mir, and Luca Marini. Teams focus on collecting aerodynamic data, testing tire options, and fine-tuning electronic systems during these sessions. Each motorcycle carries approximately 50 sensors that generate valuable performance data.

The Chang International Circuit first welcomed MotoGP in 2018, making Thailand a fresh addition to the championship calendar. Located near Buriram United Football Club, about 410 km northeast of Bangkok, the circuit's name comes from the town of Buriram, which means "city of happiness" in Thai. The track layout allows spectators to see most of the circuit from the main grandstand.

During testing, teams work on optimizing aerodynamics, adapting to tire compounds, refining components, and adjusting electronics settings. Riders also use this time to improve their physical condition and find the perfect motorcycle setup. This official test serves as critical preparation for what promises to be an action-packed MotoGP season at one of Asia's most popular racing venues.
