ℹ️ About Prima Pramac Yamaha launch

The Prima Pramac Yamaha launch at Sepang International Circuit marks a new chapter for this established MotoGP team. The event showcases the team's new partnership with Yamaha, where Prima Pramac Racing becomes Yamaha's second Factory Team while keeping its Independent Team status.

Riders Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira lead the Prima Pramac Yamaha lineup, piloting the factory-spec Yamaha YZR-M1 motorcycles. Miller returns to the team after his previous stint from 2018 to 2021, bringing experience and 9 podium finishes with the team. Oliveira joins as a proven MotoGP race winner.

The Prima Pramac Yamaha launch features the newly designed YZR-M1 in a striking livery that combines Yamaha's blue with Prima Assicurazioni's purple. Both riders began testing their machines during a two-day shakedown at Sepang, with full competition on the 2025 bike starting at the Thailand GP.

Sepang International Circuit provides an ideal backdrop for the Prima Pramac Yamaha launch. The 5.543 km track features 15 corners and a 920-meter straight, challenging riders with its technical layout. The circuit can hold 130,000 fans, with 30,000 in the main grandstand.

The technical partnership gives Prima Pramac Racing access to factory-spec YZR-M1 bikes identical to those used by the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team. The aluminum chassis and inline-four engine will benefit from development input from both Miller and Oliveira.

Prima Pramac Racing brings a strong history to this new era, having won its first MotoGP Riders World Championship in 2024 and the Team World Championship in 2023. Paolo Campinoti leads as Team Principal with Gino Borsoi as Team Director.

The Prima Pramac Yamaha launch also includes the team's expansion into Moto2 as BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2, with Tony Arbolino and Izan Guevara competing. Alpine joins as the main partner for the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team in 2025.

This Prima Pramac Yamaha launch at Sepang International Circuit signals an important alliance in MotoGP, combining Pramac's successful racing history with Yamaha's technical expertise. The partnership promises competitive racing and technical innovation throughout the MotoGP season.
