βΉοΈ About Circuit of the Americas
The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas brings NASCAR Cup Series racing to Austin, Texas. This premier racing event showcases stock car competition on COTA's challenging 2.400-mile road course. The 2025 race features 95 high-intensity laps split into three stages: 20/45/95.
Circuit of the Americas stands as the only FIA-certified Grade 1 track in the United States. The course offers drivers a unique challenge with its 133-foot elevation change and distinctive features. The track begins with a steep uphill climb into "Big Red," a hairpin left turn. Drivers then face fast sweeping esses, technical corner sections, and a straightaway extending more than half a mile.
For 2025, NASCAR Cup teams competed on a modified layout at Circuit of the Americas. This new 2.40-mile configuration removed turns 7 through 11, creating more passing opportunities and increasing racing action. The shorter track produced more laps for fans to enjoy during the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.
Christopher Bell claimed victory in the 2025 NASCAR Cup race at Circuit of the Americas. Notable competitors included William Byron, Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Shane Van Gisbergen, and Connor Zilisch, who made his Cup Series debut at this event. Tyler Reddick secured the Busch pole position.
Circuit of the Americas has hosted NASCAR Cup racing since 2021, with each of the first four races producing different winners: Chase Elliott (2021), Ross Chastain (2022), Tyler Reddick (2023), and William Byron (2024). The facility opened after being conceptualized in 2010 by Tavo Hellmund and Kevin Schwantz, with design help from Hermann Tilke.
Beyond NASCAR Cup action, Circuit of the Americas offers visitors additional attractions, including a 251-foot observation tower with 360-degree views of the entire race course. The facility hosts various racing series and entertainment events throughout the year, making it a central location for motorsports in Texas.
The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix delivers road course racing that tests drivers' skills across different track sections. The Circuit of the Americas NASCAR Cup event highlights both driver talent and team strategy as competitors battle for position on this world-class racing facility.
