WEC - Losail Prologue

The Losail Prologue stands as the official pre-season test for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Losail International Circuit in Qatar. Teams use the Prologue to fine-tune their race cars and prepare for the Qatar 1812 KM race. The circuit spans 5.419 km with a 1.068 km main straight and offers fast, flowing sections ideal for endurance racing competitions.

The Losail Prologue features 36 cars from 13 manufacturers, with 18 Hypercar prototypes representing the premier class in endurance racing. Drivers and engineers work on car setups and tire strategies while collecting data in both day and night conditions. The Losail International Circuit provides excellent lighting for night testing sessions, allowing teams to practice under various conditions.

Built in 2004, the Losail International Circuit has grown into a top racing destination. The Qatar track combines medium and high-speed corners with artificial grass surroundings to prevent sand from affecting the racing surface. The facility includes a 402-meter pit building that houses fifty team garages and a race control tower.

The Losail Prologue gives racing fans an early view of the new season's Hypercar and LMGT3 race cars. The test includes a Media Day where journalists tour team garages and meet with teams.
