Hypercar Class
The Hypercar category includes both Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) and Le Mans Daytoga h (LMDh) specifications. For 2026, Energy Recovery Systems are optional for newly homologated entries. A Balance of Performance system ensures competitive parity between different designs and approaches. The FIA and ACO now share BoP tables exclusively with teams rather than publishing them publicly.
Teams must complete at least 70 percent of the winning car's distance while crossing the finish line under their own power to earn classification. This regulation ensures that only cars that actively compete throughout the race receive official results.
LMGT3 Class
The LMGT3 category uses the FIA GT3 platform with specific modifications for endurance racing. Cars must weigh a minimum of 1,280 kilograms and reach speeds of 300 kilometers per hour. Goodyear supplies all tires for the category, with teams receiving increased tire allocations for six-hour races in 2026. The Medium Eagle compound serves as the exclusive race tire.
LMGT3 crews must include at least one Bronze-rated driver paired with either another Bronze or a Silver-rated driver. Only manufacturers producing more than 2,500 road-legal vehicles annually can compete in this class.

The circuit previously welcomed the championship for the pre-season Prologue test in 2019/20, but this represents its debut as a competitive venue.
