ℹ️ About Algarve

The Algarve WSBK event at Algarve Motor Park offers fans an outstanding display of world-class superbike racing. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve circuit, with its 4.592 km track length, provides a challenging course for riders from around the globe. The circuit features 15 corners and significant elevation changes, which creates unique racing conditions that test rider skill and bike performance.

Fans attending the Algarve WSBK races witness top competitors like Toprak Razgatlioglu, who dominated the 2025 event with wins in Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2. The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, Aruba.it Racing - Ducati, and Pata Maxus Yamaha bring exceptional talent to the Portuguese circuit each season.

The Algarve Motor Park opened in 2008 and quickly gained recognition for its technical layout. With a width of 18 meters and a longest straight of 970 meters, the track allows for high-speed racing and strategic overtaking maneuvers. Riders face a maximum rise of 6.2% and a steep 12% descent, making this circuit one of the most physically demanding on the WSBK calendar.

The facility accommodates 100,000 spectators with excellent viewing points throughout the circuit. The main grandstand holds 16,654 seats, giving fans clear views of the racing action. The high-performance Stone Mastic Asphalt surface provides optimal grip for the powerful superbikes.

The WSBK championship began in 1988 as a series for modified versions of publicly available motorcycles. From its first race at Donington Park to today's global competition, the championship has grown in prestige and popularity. Legendary riders like Carl Fogarty helped establish WSBK as a premier motorcycle racing series before current stars continued that tradition.

The Algarve circuit complex includes additional facilities such as a go-kart track, off-road park, hotel, and sports complex. This comprehensive venue has hosted multiple motorsport disciplines and served as a filming location for "The Grand Tour." BMW has achieved many of their WSBK victories at this Portuguese track, making it a significant venue in the championship's history.
