EXCELR8 Motorsport
The reigning champions will continue with four cars. Tom Ingram returns to defend his title in a Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance. Tom Chilton will also drive for the team.
Plato Racing
A new outfit for 2026, Plato Racing enters the btcc with Mercedes-AMG A35 Saloons. Former double champion Jason Plato leads the team. Daniel Rowbottom and Adam Morgan are confirmed drivers.
Other Key Teams
Speedworks Motorsport will retain four entries in partnership with MB Motorsport. West Surrey Racing (WSR) will operate three BMW 330i M Sport cars. Jake Hill, Daryl DeLeon, and Charles Rainford have all achieved success with WSR in recent seasons.
Power Maxed Racing will run three cars, including a new Audi S3. Aiden Moffat is confirmed as a driver for the team. Restart Racing holds two licenses, with James Dorlin returning to the btcc. Alliance Racing and One Motorsport also hold multiple licenses. Gordon Shedden is expected to compete as well.
Technical Regulations for 2026
The 2026 season marks the 16th year for cars conforming to Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specifications. Several significant technical changes take effect this season.
Sustainable Fuel and Hybrid Removal
