ℹ️ About Balaton Park

The Balaton Park Circuit hosts the FIM Moto3 World Championship race as part of the Hungarian Motorcycle Grand Prix in 2025. This event marks the return of motorcycle racing to Hungary after a 30-year absence. The Balaton Park Moto3 race takes place alongside Moto2, MotoGP, and MotoE competitions on the circuit.

The Balaton Park track stretches 4.115 km with 16 corners, including 10 left-handers and 6 right-handers. The circuit has undergone modifications for motorcycle racing, with changes to Turns 6 and 7 and the addition of a chicane at Turn 11. Located near Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe, the track sits approximately 85 km southwest of Budapest.

The Balaton Park facility offers excellent amenities for both racers and spectators. The circuit features 10,000 permanent seats with expansion capacity to 120,000, 48 pit garages, and advanced safety systems. A 145-room hotel overlooks the track, making it convenient for visitors.

The 2025 Moto3 lineup at Balaton Park includes riders like Angel Piqueras and Ryusei Yamanaka for MT Helmets - MSi, Dennis Foggia with the Aspar Team, and newcomers Eddie O'Shea and Marcos Uriarte with MLav Racing. Technical changes for the 2025 season include updated practice session formats and an increased percentage of non-fossil fuel requirements.

Balaton Park Circuit opened in 2023 after construction began in 2019. The track stands as Europe's newest top-tier racing facility and the highest FIA standard circuit built in central Europe in over 15 years. Designed by Hungarian engineer Ferenc Gulacsi, the circuit emphasizes safety, driver challenge, and sustainability.

The Balaton Park Moto3 race delivers close competition on a modern track in one of Hungary's most scenic regions. Fans can watch young talent showcase their skills on this challenging circuit as they battle for championship points. This race adds a fresh venue to the Moto3 calendar and brings international motorcycle racing back to Hungary.
