ℹ️ About Pocono

The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA.COM returns to Pocono Raceway, bringing NASCAR Cup Series racing to the famous "Tricky Triangle" in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. This 400-mile race features 160 laps around the unique 2.5-mile tri-oval track. Fans can watch top NASCAR Cup Series drivers handle the challenging three-turn circuit, each turn based on a different famous track. Turn 1 features 14-degree banking modeled after Trenton Speedway, Turn 2 has 8-degree banking similar to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Turn 3 includes 6-degree banking inspired by Milwaukee Mile.

Pocono Raceway stands out with its unusual triangle shape and the longest front straightaway in NASCAR at 3,740 feet. The back straightaway stretches 3,055 feet while the short straightaway measures 1,780 feet. This distinct layout creates different racing lines and strategy options compared to other NASCAR Cup events.

The Great American Getaway 400 will see competition from top teams including Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas Racing. Fans can expect to see drivers like Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, and Joey Logano battling for the win at Pocono.

All drivers will race the Next Gen NASCAR Cup Series cars, featuring a 5.86-liter V8 engine producing approximately 670 horsepower, five-speed sequential manual transmission, and Goodyear tires. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series includes updated rules such as the Damaged Vehicle Policy allowing cars to continue after garage repairs and the Open Exemption Provisional for drivers from other racing series.

Pocono Raceway has hosted NASCAR Cup Series events since 1974, with Richard Petty winning the first race. The track has seen winners like Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, and Ryan Blaney take checkered flags on its asphalt surface.

Beyond racing, Pocono Raceway offers additional features for fans. The facility runs on solar power from its own solar farm, includes a dog park, houses an inclusive playground in the infield, and provides sensory-inclusive spaces through its partnership with Kulture City. This family-owned venue combines racing tradition with modern amenities.

The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway promises competitive NASCAR Cup Series racing on one of America's most distinctive tracks. The unique three-turn layout tests drivers' skills and creates passing opportunities throughout the 400-mile race.
