ℹ️ About Nashville

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series returns to Nashville Superspeedway for the Flote 200. This race brings the trucks back to the 1.33-mile concrete tri-oval in Lebanon, Tennessee, as part of a triple-header racing weekend. The Nashville Superspeedway serves as Middle Tennessee's premier racing venue and hosts one of the most competitive races on the truck series schedule.

Nashville Superspeedway Circuit Details

Nashville Superspeedway features a D-shaped oval configuration with a concrete surface throughout. The track measures 1.33 miles in length and includes 14 degrees of banking in the turns. The front stretch has 9 degrees of banking, while the back stretch features 6 degrees of banking. This concrete surface makes Nashville Superspeedway the largest all-concrete venue in NASCAR. The facility can accommodate 25,000 fans in permanent seating, with capacity to expand to 38,000-40,000 with temporary grandstands.

Race Format and Distance

The Flote 200 consists of 150 laps covering 199.5 miles. The race divides into three stages. Stage 1 runs for 45 laps, Stage 2 continues for 50 laps, and the Final Stage completes the remaining 55 laps. This stage format creates multiple strategic opportunities for teams and drivers throughout the race. The concrete surface and banking characteristics produce competitive racing with multiple racing lines available.

Nashville NASCAR Truck Series History

Nashville Superspeedway opened in 2001 and hosted NASCAR Xfinity Series and Truck Series races until 2011. After nearly a decade without NASCAR events, the facility brought back NASCAR racing in 2021, including all three national series. The truck series race at Nashville Superspeedway replaced a previous race held at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Speedway Motorsports, LLC owns and operates the facility. The track maintains a rich racing heritage that includes multiple NASCAR series and IndyCar events.

What Makes This Race Notable

The winner of the NASCAR truck race at Nashville receives a unique trophy: a Gibson Les Paul guitar. This trophy reflects the music heritage of the Nashville area. The location in Lebanon provides easy access via Interstate 840 and Tennessee State Route 452. The complex includes not only the oval track but also a 1.8-mile road course. Kids 12 and under receive free admission to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Teams and Competition

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series field at Nashville Superspeedway features teams and drivers competing for stage points and the race victory. The concrete surface and unique characteristics of the track create different challenges compared to traditional asphalt ovals. Teams must adjust their setups to handle the grip levels and tire wear patterns specific to concrete racing. The banking and track layout reward drivers who can maintain momentum through the corners while managing their equipment over the full race distance.
