ℹ️ About Texas

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to Texas Motor Speedway for the SpeedyCash.com 250 race. This 250.5-mile race features 167 laps around one of the most recognizable intermediate speedways in professional stock car racing. Texas Motor Speedway, known as "The Great American Speedway," provides a challenging test for NASCAR truck series competitors on its 1.5-mile quad-oval layout.

Texas Motor Speedway Circuit Details

Texas Motor Speedway stands as a premier intermediate speedway facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The track stretches 1.5 miles around its quad-oval configuration with progressive banking that increases through the turns. Turns 1 and 2 feature 20 degrees of banking, while turns 3 and 4 provide 24 degrees. The front and back stretches each have 5 degrees of banking. The racing surface measures 80 feet wide and consists of asphalt pavement.

The facility sits on 1,500 acres at the intersection of Interstate 35 West and Texas State Highway 114 on the northern outskirts of Fort Worth. The venue holds approximately 112,000 fans and features "Big Hoss," the world's largest HD video screen. Additional facilities include an infield road course with four layouts, a 0.2-mile paved short track called "Lil' Texas Motor Speedway," and a 0.4-mile dirt track.

NASCAR Truck Series Competitors

The entry list for the Texas nascar-truck race includes teams from across the series. CR7 Motorsports, Freedom Racing Enterprises, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, Spire Motorsports, Front Row Motorsports, ThorSport Racing, Kaulig Racing, Halmar Friesen Racing, and Tricon Garage are expected to field entries. Manufacturers represented include Chevrolet, Ford, Ram, and Toyota.

Driver lineups feature a mix of series veterans and competitive talent. Grant Enfinger, Tyler Ankrum, Christian Eckes, Layne Riggs, Ty Majeski, Daniel Dye, Stewart Friesen, Kaden Honeycutt, and Justin Haley are among the drivers expected to compete. Haley returns to full-time Truck Series competition for the first time since 2018, while Eckes comes back to the series full-time after racing in the Xfinity Series.

Texas Motor Speedway History and Tradition

Speedway Motorsports, Inc., founded by Bruton Smith, built Texas Motor Speedway with groundbreaking beginning in April 1995. The facility opened in February 1996 and hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race on April 6, 1997, with Jeff Burton claiming victory. The track briefly operated as Texas International Raceway in 1996 before returning to its current name.

Texas Motor Speedway maintains unique racing traditions. The winner of each race receives a cowboy hat and two six-shooter revolvers, celebrating the venue's Texas heritage. The track has undergone several reconfigurations and repavings throughout its history, including modifications to the banking in turns 1 and 2.

What Makes This NASCAR Truck Race Special

The SpeedyCash.com 250 offers NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams a chance to compete at a major intermediate speedway facility. The 1.5-mile layout demands strong truck setups that balance speed through the progressively banked turns with stability on the flat stretches. Stock car racing at Texas Motor Speedway provides close competition as drivers navigate the wide racing surface.

The 2026 edition of this race continues the tradition of NASCAR truck series competition at Texas Motor Speedway. Fans following the event can expect strategic racing decisions throughout the 167-lap distance as teams manage tire wear and truck handling on the Texas asphalt. The combination of track characteristics and competitive fields produces compelling racing action for followers of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
