The Hy-Vee PERKS 250 brings NASCAR Xfinity Series racing back to Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa for the 2025 season. This 250-lap race covers 218.75 miles on Iowa's unique 0.875-mile oval track. Iowa Speedway stands as the only 7/8-mile asphalt oval in the world, featuring progressive banking from 12 to 14 degrees in the turns. The track was designed with input from NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace and models its D-shaped tri-oval after Richmond Raceway.

Iowa Speedway holds special significance in racing safety as the first track to install SAFER barriers around its entire perimeter. The facility offers seating for over 30,000 fans and includes a multi-tiered RV viewing area along the backstretch. Sam Mayer claimed victory in the 2024 race, continuing the tradition of competitive racing at this Iowa venue.

NASCAR Xfinity Series competition returned to Iowa Speedway in 2024 after a four-year absence. Many drivers earned their first Xfinity wins at Iowa, including Ricky Stenhouse Jr., William Byron, and Ryan Preece. The Iowa track has hosted various NASCAR series since 2007, with Joey Logano winning the first NASCAR race held at the facility.
