ℹ️ About Fuji II

The Fuji II Super Formula race stands as a key event in the Japanese single-seater racing calendar. This race takes place at the historic Fuji International Speedway, situated near the beautiful Mount Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. The circuit features a 4.563 km layout with 16 turns and includes one of motorsport's longest straights at 1.475 km.

Super Formula represents the highest level of open-wheel racing in Japan. The series uses identical Dallara SF23 chassis powered by either Honda HR-417E or Toyota TRD-01F engines. These cars generate up to 550 horsepower from their 2.0-liter turbocharged engines, making them the second-fastest road racing cars after Formula 1.

The Fuji II event showcases top racing talent from Japan and around the world. Teams like Vantelin Team Tom's, Kondo Racing, and Team Mugen compete with skilled drivers such as Kamui Kobayashi, Sho Tsuboi, and Ayumu Iwasa. All competitors use Yokohama tires and must make at least one tire change during each race.

Fuji International Speedway has a rich history dating back to 1966. The track hosted Japan's first Formula One Grand Prix in 1976 and continues to serve as a premier racing venue. Its location offers spectators stunning views of Mount Fuji while watching high-speed racing action.

The Super Formula series began in 1973 as the All-Japan F2000 Championship before evolving through Formula Two and Formula 3000 formats. The series adopted its current name in 2013 and has helped launch many drivers to international careers. The 2025 season marks the 53rd year of premier Japanese open-wheel racing.

Visitors to the Fuji II Super Formula event can enjoy facilities including the CRANE Garden restaurant and CRANE BOX gift shop. The track is accessible by train with buses running from Gotemba Station and Suruga-Oyama Station. The combination of technical racing, advanced cars, and skilled drivers makes the Fuji II Super Formula race an essential experience for fans of motorsport.
