Hu Tag

Team Personnel

A Hu Tag is a wristband-like identification device worn by drivers in endurance racing to track when they enter and exit the race circuit.

In motorsports where multiple drivers share the same vehicle during long races, officials need to monitor each driver's time on track to enforce regulations about maximum driving periods and required rest times. The Hu Tag system electronically registers when a driver enters or leaves the car, providing accurate timing data.

When a driver change occurs in endurance events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the Rolex 24 at Daytona, each driver's Hu Tag must be properly scanned to ensure compliance with driver rotation rules. This system helps maintain safety by preventing drivers from exceeding their allowed time behind the wheel.
