ℹ️ About Spa-Francorchamps
The FIA Formula 3 Championship at Spa-Francorchamps brings elite racing action to Belgium's legendary circuit. This F3 race showcases talented young drivers competing on the 7.004 km track, known as one of motorsport's most challenging venues. Spa-Francorchamps features 20 corners and significant elevation changes of approximately 100 meters between its highest and lowest points.
Drivers face the famous Eau Rouge/Raidillon sequence, with its 35-meter climb testing skill and courage. Other notable sections include the high-speed Blanchimont, the tight La Source hairpin, and the demanding Pouhon double-left turn. The circuit's varied terrain and often unpredictable weather create unique racing conditions.
The F3 event at Spa-Francorchamps features 10 teams with three drivers each. All competitors use identical Dallara F3 2025 chassis powered by 3.4L naturally-aspirated V6 Mecachrome engines on Pirelli tires. Teams include Prema Racing, Trident, Van Amersfoort Racing, Campos Racing, Hitech TGR, and AIX Racing.
Spa-Francorchamps has evolved from its original 14.9 km layout using public roads to today's purpose-built circuit. The track continues to maintain its character despite safety modifications over the years. First constructed in 1921, Spa hosted its first Grand Prix in 1925 and joined the inaugural Formula 1 season in 1950.
The Formula 3 race format includes practice, qualifying, a sprint race, and a feature race. The sprint race uses a reversed grid for the top 12 qualifiers, adding strategic complexity. This F3 race at Spa-Francorchamps offers fans close competition as future racing stars develop their skills at one of motorsport's most respected venues.
