ℹ️ About Round 9 & 10

TC America returns to Road America for Rounds 9 & 10 of the 2025 season. This double-header race weekend features two 25-minute races on one of America's most challenging road courses. Located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, between Milwaukee and Green Bay, Road America provides a demanding test for factory-built and factory-supported touring cars.

Road America Circuit Details

Road America spans 640 acres in Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine region. The track measures 4.048 miles in length, making it one of the longest road courses in the country. Drivers navigate 14 turns while managing significant elevation changes throughout the lap.

The circuit maintains its original configuration from 1955, a rare quality among modern racing facilities. The long front straight allows cars to reach speeds approaching 200 mph. A notable feature called "the kink" on the backside challenges drivers at high speed. Road America holds FIA Grade Two certification and attracts over 800,000 visitors annually across more than 400 events.

TC America Series Overview

The TC America series showcases production-based race cars from major manufacturers. Competing brands include Acura, Audi Sport, BMW Motorsports, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, MINI, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen. These machines represent the top tier of touring car competition in North America.

The series has developed drivers who later advanced to GT3 and GT4 racing. SRO Motorsports Group manages TC America, while the United States Auto Club provides sanctioning. The series began in 2019 following the separation of touring car classes from Pirelli World Challenge.

Class Structure for 2025

TC America combined its TCX and TC classes into a single TC class for the 2025 season. This consolidation creates a unified field of touring car competition. The TCA class was discontinued as part of this restructuring.

Road America Racing History

Sports car races ran on public streets in and around Elkhart Lake during the early 1950s. Clif Tufte organized a group in 1955 to build a permanent racecourse. The track held its first SCCA national race weekend on September 10, 1955.

The natural topography of the Kettle Moraine area shaped the circuit's design. Today's 4.048-mile, 14-turn layout remains virtually identical to the original configuration. Road America earned recognition as "America's National Park of Speed" and generates over $100 million annually. The facility offers open seating, allowing spectators to explore the grounds throughout race weekends.

What to Expect at Rounds 9 & 10

TC America at Road America delivers close touring car competition across two separate races. The combination of fast straights and technical sections creates multiple passing opportunities. Each 25-minute race demands strategy, precision, and consistency from teams and drivers. The venue's length and elevation changes test both car setup and driver skill. This double-header weekend represents a significant points opportunity in the TC America championship battle.
