The 2026 TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School brings Round 11 and Round 12 to Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. This double-header race weekend showcases the series' streamlined single-class format at one of North America's premier racing facilities. The event features two 35-minute sprint races on the challenging road course, with live streaming available on GT World's YouTube channel and the SRO Motorsports Twitch account.
The Circuit at Barber Motorsports Park
Barber Motorsports Park sits on 880 acres near Birmingham, Alabama. The road course stretches 2.38 miles and runs clockwise through a wooded landscape. Drivers face 16 turns with elevation changes exceeding 80 feet throughout the lap. Alan Wilson designed this technical layout, which features a track width of 45 feet to allow for racing and overtaking opportunities.
The course winds through immaculate landscaping, earning its nickname as "The Augusta National of Motorsports." Key passing zones occur at turns 1, 5, 8, and 12. The paddock area uses multiple tiers to accommodate teams. Spectator viewing areas line the back straight between turns 8 and 11, offering views of most sections of the track.
Race Format and Series Structure
TC America enters its eighth season in 2026 under the management of the Stéphane Ratel Organisation with sanctioning from the United States Auto Club. The series adopted a single-class structure for this season, consolidating previous categories into one competitive field. Each race weekend at Barber Motorsports Park provides five on-track sessions spread across three days.
The two 35-minute sprint races demand precision from drivers. The format requires strong race craft from the opening lap. The tightly regulated touring cars ensure balanced competition among different manufacturers. Skip Barber Racing School renewed its title sponsorship in February 2026, continuing its support of the championship.
Teams and Competitors
The 2026 TC America grid features touring cars from Acura, BMW, Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota. Several teams have confirmed their entries for the season.
Acura Entries
Skip Barber Racing fields two Acura Integra Type-S DE5 cars. Dean Lambros drives the No. 7 entry while Logan Anderson pilots the No. 25 car. Precision Racing LA campaigns a third Acura Integra as the No. 73 entry.
Hyundai Campaign
Ricca Autosport brings multiple Hyundai Elantra N1 TC and N1 TC EVO entries to the championship. The team's roster includes the No. 8, 18, 33, 76, 77, and 78 cars. Drivers Justin Gravett, Eric Kunz, PJ Groenke, and Andre Castro represent the Hyundai effort.
Mazda and Toyota Programs
FTG Racing campaigns the No. 71 Mazda 3 TC. JMF Motorsports runs two Toyota GR Corolla TC entries with Jesse Dorkin in the No. 3 car and Braydon Arthur in the No. 4 machine.
Technical Regulations
The series uses factory-built or factory-supported turn-key race cars with tight regulations. This approach creates balanced racing while maintaining manufacturer rivalry. The single-class structure introduced for this season provides a more streamlined and cost-effective platform. The regulations promote close and safe competition across all participating brands.
Championship Background
TC America was established in 2019 as part of the SRO Motorsports Group. The championship evolved from the Speedvision World Challenge, Speed World Challenge, and Pirelli World Challenge. The series serves as a developmental platform where drivers advance to other SRO America championships like Pirelli GT4 America and GT World Challenge America.
Barber Motorsports Park opened in 2003 and has hosted IndyCar Series, Grand-Am, and MotoAmerica events. The facility has been a venue for touring car racing in previous seasons, with championships decided on this circuit.
Venue Features
Barber Motorsports Park houses the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum, certified by Guinness World Records as the largest motorcycle museum globally. The collection includes over 1,600 vintage and modern motorcycles plus the largest collection of Lotus race cars.
A sculpture trail runs through the property with large-scale art installations. Giant spiders, dragonflies, and lions appear alongside the track. The section near turns 5 and 6 earned the nickname "Charlotte's Web" due to a large spider sculpture. The facility also hosts the Porsche Track Experience, one of three Porsche-sponsored driving schools in the United States.
Spectators can camp on-site during race weekends. The combination of racing action, museum access, and unique art installations creates a comprehensive motorsports experience at Barber Motorsports Park.
What to Expect
Round 11 and Round 12 at Barber Motorsports Park will test drivers on a technical circuit with varied elevation and challenging corners. The single-class format ensures close battles throughout the field. The two sprint races will showcase touring car racing from manufacturers across the automotive industry. Fans can follow all the action through live streaming platforms, watching as teams and drivers compete on one of America's premier road courses.
